I have a Question about this Bronz coin ?
Something is not right. Why is this coin selling for $1,600 USD at an Auction. And on ebay it is set for 0.99 why ? http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotvie...D=293&Lot=3541
There is something fishy about this coin on ebay, don't you think so. At Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ONE-Penny-1948...QQcmdZViewItem |

Re: I have a Question about this Bronz coin ?
I just found one that say's Bronze Proof Penny, I think mjk1971 is on the right side, one could be in bronze and the other one is in copper.
Thats why the one on ebay is cheep, becous its a fake. This one sold for $676 Dollars in 2003 http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotvie...ID=118&Lot=360 |
Re: I have a Question about this Bronz coin ?
Austrlia went from copper to bronze when they decimalised everything, that was in 1966 so i imagine thats when the poms probably changed things over or thereabouts, they did not make any bronze coinage in 1948 in England, the 1948 penny was only made in Copper

Bronze sounds like a fancy word for tarnished copper.
